The weather was great, players from both sides were there warming up and getting their minds into the game at hand. Due to the unusual day for a match, we had a good number of players not able to attend.
The Line up:
1. Bryce (guest from ARFC), 2. David, 3. Ryan, 4. Andrew D, 5. Alex, 6. Jarvis, 7. Devon, 8. Keaton, 9. Nick, 10. Chase, 11. Coleman, 12. Ola, 13. John R. 14. Talhah, 15. Eric,
16. Will, 17. John B. 18. Sharif, 19. Clint. 23. Brandon. Everyone played at least 40 minutes of this friendly match.
The match kicked off about 7:35 and UT Dallas came out playing hard, but was basically it was all the Mean Green of UNT.
There were a few bright moments during the game, which will be posted later.
Next weekend, Oct. 15th, both the women and men travel to San Antonio to play our Texas rivals UT San Antonio. The ladies kick off about 3:00pm, and the men kick off about 5:00pm.
Directions to UTSA will be posted later this week.
UTSA has been a strong opponent for both the men and women. Although this season, the UTSA Women have a little more to play for. It seems that they got just the ammo they needed to help inspire them It seems that a few weeks ago, a Texas Video Blogger posted that UT Dallas should be ranked 6 and UTSA should be ranked 9. But after a few emails, text and tweets, Grant published a video blog to correct that error, but the damage had already been done. UTSA already felt disrespected and planned on taking it out on the clubs they faced and especially UT Dallas.
So, with both the men and women from UT Dallas traveling to UTSA, it should be a good hard game, lots of excitement and generally a real cracker of a weekend. Address and map will be published/posted later this week.
