The ladies performed especially well playing 10's rugby (and having 14 players active on their roster) and if they continue to recruit like they have been. Next fall we might be able to begin playing 15's rugby, which has been our goal for a long time.
The guys have played well during this past fall season, with having a majority of newbies out on the pitch and everyone learning the game, basically baptism under fire. It's been a challenge for us as coaches, but more for them because they're on the pitch experiencing it first hand.
Christmas so far has been good to us at UT Dallas Rugby, last year we had 2 players (Daniel and Precious) make the Lonestar Conference All Star Select Side team and traveled to the Caymen Islands. This coming March, 2 players have been invited to the 2nd Lonestar Conference All Star Try outs, Daniel, who'll possibly make his second all star team and Andrew Do, who tried out for the first time. Both have been invited to this select try outs in March. Good luck to both of them in trying to make the team to go to Canada next summer.
We have a lot of things planned for the spring (when class resumes) and our schedule will be posted soon. I will get that full schedule to John Bradshaw, who has graciously volunteered to enter it onto this web site.
